Opportunities
The Department of Visual Art affords students many unique opportunities including:
- Internships at area art museums, galleries, and design companies to gain art-related experience in industry.
- Trips to places like Washington D.C. to view world-class art museums and galleries.
- Participation in student art exhibitions in the Green Hall Art Galleries.
- Participation in the student art club Artisus.
Artisus, a club devoted to advancing the visual arts, is open to all Chowan University students. The club is involved in a number of endeavors, such as Relay for Life and ceramics sales. Artisus is the recipient for the 2009-2010 Mission and Vision Cup, awarded to one club on campus each year.
