Chowan University is Christian.
Many private Christian schools have a historical relationship with a church or denomination (so does Chowan; we are the 2nd oldest Baptist university in North Carolina), but our commitment to be a small, Christian university means much more to us than just a historical relationship. Faith is a significant part of the Chowan experience.
