Why I chose to come to Chowan University?
I chose Chowan University because it's not that big of a university, it's a place where you can't feel that you're too far from home. You don't have a vast number of students, which makes all of the students and teachers as your small family. The teachers are nice and helpful to all students and treat them with respect. The people love you here for what you are and pay a lot of attention to you.
What I enjoy most about Chowan?
I enjoy spending time with friends and faculty members since they are always there to help you and want to know more about you and your culture. I also enjoy spending time in the gym and playing various kinds of sports on campus.
How did I adjust to living here/expectations?
Adjusting was not a big issue to me because when I actually came here people gave me a warm welcome and didn't let me feel a stranger, but on the contrary as a part of the team and a part of the community. I've met families, faculty members and international and American students who are very friendly and willing to help at any crisis.
What is my favorite class/professor?
Statistics and Probability with Dr. James Turesdell/ Religion with Ms. Jill Awuni.
What do I want to do after I graduate?
I intend to pursue my education and continue in a Graduate school to become an Engineer.
