Leadership Scholarship Day is your chance to win a valuable scholarship! Chowan University wants to invest in rising student leaders like you. Scholarship recipients are leaders in their school, community, sports teams, and churches.

You could be eligible for a Leadership Scholarship if you are an incoming student with at least a 2.7 grade point average and are involved in a leadership role. Anyone whose application for admission is accepted into Chowan University and meets these qualifications will have a chance.

A short application, essay, and on-campus interview is required - Apply online for the prestigious Leadership Scholarship now! Your completed application is your registration for Leadership Scholarship Day.

10:30 a.m.	Registration and Scholarship Information Pick-up Turner Auditorium in the McDowell Columns Building Performance: Josiah Antill, class of 2012 Performance: Instruments of Praise, Chowan University Gospel Choir

11:00 a.m.	Learn more about Chowan and the Leadership Scholars Program Turner Auditorium in the McDowell Columns Building Invocation: Reverend Mari Wiles, Minister to the University Speaker: Rev. Craig Janney, Assistant Dean of Strategic Communication and Athletic Chaplain Speaker: R. Chad Holt, Vice President of Enrollment Management and Dean of Admissions Speaker: Dr. Danny Moore, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Speaker: P. Randy Harrell, Vice President of Student Affairs Introduction of the Chowan University Leadership Scholars

12:00 p.m.	Leadership Scholars Luncheon Thomas Dining Hall Speaker: Dr. M. Christopher White, President Speaker: Dennis Helsel, Vice President and Director of Athletics Speaker: Porsche Uzzle, Current Leadership Scholar and Christian Service Association Scholarship recipient Benediction: Reverend Jennifer Janney, Associate Minister to the University

1:00 p.m.	Interviews begin for the Leadership Scholarship Your folder and name tag contains information about your interview time and location. Notification of scholarship awards typically takes 2 weeks after completion of the interview.

1:00 & 2:00 p.m.	Information Sessions Participate in the following information session sessions before or after your interview. How to Maximize Your Financial Aid and Complete Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) McSweeney Hall Speaker: Sharon Rose, Director of Financial Aid Information about Hawks Athletics and NCAA Division II Compliance Vaughan Auditorium in Robert Marks Hall Speaker: Dennis Helsel, Vice President and Director of Athletics

2:00 & 3:00 p.m.	See Chowan University! Campus Tours Tours leave from the Admissions Office lobby in McDowell Columns Building at 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
