Federal Pell Grants
Federal Pell Grants are federal grants available to U.S. Citizens enrolled in college with exceptional need. Awards are based on a federal formula and range from $400-$5,500. Awards are prorated for students who are taking less than 12 hours per semester.
The North Carolina Need-Based Scholarship Program
The North Carolina Need-Based Scholarship Program is available to
needy North Carolina students attending private institutions of higher
education in North Carolina. It is offered by the North Carolina State Education
Assistance Authority and awarded through College Foundation, Inc. Students
must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 hours and must be pursuing their first
undergraduate degree. Funds for the Program are contingent each year upon appropriations
made available to the Authority by the General Assembly.
