CIAA Football Media Day Set for July 19

PETERSBURG, VA- Tomorrow afternoon, on the campus of Virginia State University, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) will reveal the Predicted Order of Finish and Preseason All-CIAA Selections for the upcoming football season.
The annual press conference is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am at the Gateway Dining Event Center. Chowan University's Head Football Coach Tim Place, along with the other head coaches in the CIAA, will give an outlook on the upcoming season, and share thoughts about key returners and impact players.
Last season the Hawks finished 3-7 overall, and 2-5 in conference play. CU standout Robert Holland returns as an All-CIAA performer and NCCAA First-Team selection. The Hawks also return Jason Ampy, a rising junior who amassed ninety tackles over the course of the 2011 season.
