Mission Experiences

Mission Opportunities for 2013

Share the Well - February 15-18 Annual emphasis on missions/service. Feb 15, 27 Hour Stand for Freedom for the 27 Million caught in slavery. Feb 16-17 Gospel Choir to Christ House in Washington, DC to serve/sing. Feb 18th 7pm - Turner Auditorium - ReStore One - ministry with sex trafficking, highlighting the issue in Eastern NC.

March 9-15 Spring Break Mission Trip to NYC. Partnering with Metro Baptist in Hell's Kitchen and serving with various ministries.

May 17-29 - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Partnering with TheForsakenChildren and NC Baptist Men, serving with street children in the capital and micro industry with an agricultural project.

June 30-July 5 - East St. Louis, IL. Partnering with the Christian Activity Center and assisting with their children's camp at Camp Penuel for a week. Serve as the camp counselors for a week of water sports, activities, art, music, worship and more. Must LOVE children as this is 24/7.

The Chowan University Campus Ministry is NOT a travel agency. These opportunities are for MISSION experiences and ministry, to help you become GLOBAL - GOSPEL citizens. For any of these experiences, you must fill out an application, interview, and be accepted for each trip. Note: Each experience requires different skill sets, and all applicants may not meet the skill level requirements for each trip.

As with all of our Missions endeavors, we will work with you to help you raise funds for your portion of the experience. However, you must be willing to be creative and work with us to accomplish the task of fundraising.
