Chowan University hires Director of Human Resources
Timothy Steinrock joins the Chowan University staff as Director of Human Resources.
Following an extensive search and review process, numerous highly qualified applicants were identified. Ultimately, the search committee selected Steinrock for the recently redeveloped position of Director of Human Resources. He reports to the Vice President of Business Affairs and oversees the Human Resources Department.
Steinrock, originally from Reading, PA, has many years of senior human resources leadership and is poised to build upon the current success of the department. “Tim’s diverse experience in private higher education positions him to understand the dynamics and challenges that face private universities,” said Danny Davis, Vice President for Business Affairs.
Steinrock earned his Master of Science in education from Elmira College and his Bachelor of Science in education from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. He earned both the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certificate and the Senior Certified Professional (SCP) Certificate through continuing post-graduate educational credits (60 credits every 3 years). He recently recertified with the national governing bodies, the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) for each certificate.
Prior to Chowan, Steinrock served as Associate Vice President for Human Resources at Elizabethtown College (PA) and Associate Vice President & Director of Human Resources at Albright College. Please join Chowan University in welcoming Tim Steinrock.
