Theatre@Chowan – Beautiful, Crazy

MURFREESBORO, NC – Theatre@Chowan will present three performances of J. Patrick Moss’s romantic comedy, Beautiful, Crazy, on Nov 17, 18, and 19, 2017.

Cindy does not have the courage to tell her best friend, Jim, that she loves him. Meanwhile, Jim is enamored with Alicia, a wannabe Hollywood actress. Jim tells Alicia that he can get her the lead role in an upcoming play. He enlists the help of Cindy as the director. Jim pretends to stage a “play” in the psychiatric wing of a hospital and tells Alicia that the patients are “Method” actors. Jim has two hours to make sparks fly. Can Jim woo Alicia before the head nurse, a security guard, or the regional director show up? Will Cindy lose her heart’s love to a would-be starlet? Racing faster than a high-speed connection this contemporary comedy draws a fine line between acting, madness, and love. Proving that although love is beautiful, sometimes it will drive you crazy!
