Welcome to Net Partner (Chowan’s online financial aid system) which allows you to check the status of the paperwork submitted, find out the amounts and types of financial aid awards you've been offered, accept or decline awards.
If you are a first-time user, click the "First Time User" link in the Log In box. Follow the instructions to set up your account and create a password.
Once you have created your password, use the Returning User Link for future visits.
As a Chowan student, enter your ID number. If you no longer have your password, select the "Forgot Your Password" option and follow the instructions to reset it.
What are the password requirements?
Your password must be at least 8 characters, 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 number and 1 special character (!@#$%^&). You can reset your password at any time using the Forgot Your Password option and answering security questions.
How do I accept my awards online?
Click on the Menu, and choose Accept your Awards. This opens the online award letter.
For awards in Status Pending, change the Status to Accept or Decline or use "Accept All".
You can adjust your loan amount as needed. Loans cannot be increased, you may, however, choose to decrease the loans.
Click the SUBMIT button to finalize your acceptance.
How fast does my record update when I accept my awards?
The system updates awards in real time. However, please allow 24 to 48 hours for the Financial Aid Office to load any other online forms or paper documents to the system.
How do I access the documents I need to complete?
Click on the Menu, and choose View your Documents. This opens your document screen. Documents listed as Not Received can be downloaded by clicking the document name.
Documents are classified as:
Not Received - please submit to Financial Aid
Incomplete - missing info, please call Financial Aid
Not Signed - missing appropriate signatures
Waived - no action needed
Received - no action needed
Approved - no action needed
I received an error message. What do I do?
Error 1A indicates that you already have a password. Please double check or use the Forgot Password link. If you need additional assistance, please contact us at 252-398-6535.
Error NQ indicates you are answering your activation questions incorrectly. SSN must be entered without dashes. Date of birth must be in mm/dd/yyyy format. If you need additional assistance, please contact us at 252-398-6535.
