Office of Alumni Relations

The Alumni Association is headquartered in the Early-Myers House near the corner of High Street and Union Street. Normal business hours are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Chowan University Alumni Association

The Chowan University Alumni Association serves as a liaison to alumni and current students. All graduates and former students of Chowan University are considered members of the Alumni Association. 

Chowan University Alumni Council

The Mission of the Chowan University Alumni Council is to serve, involve, celebrate, and inform Chowan alumni–while upholding the mission, goals, values, and Christian heritage of the University.  

The purpose of the Alumni Council is to:

  • Serve as liaison to alumni and current students
  • Promote and foster a spirit of fellowship among alumni
  • Promote leadership and financial support for University priorities
    • Recruitment, public relations, fundraising, etc.
  • Increase the percentage of alumni involved in on- and off campus programs
  • Identify and cultivate future alumni leaders
  • Create a network of lifetime connections that promote spiritual, educational, volunteer and financial giving opportunities.
  • Foster and advance the interests and welfare of Chowan University

  • Maintain strong connections to your alma mater through social media and attending Chowan events regularly 
  • Network with your fellow classmates and within your communities
  • Assist with the recruitment of prospective students
  • Annual gifts to Chowan to ensure excellent educational opportunities to current and future generations of Brave-Hawks
