Dear Alumni,
I sincerely wish for you good health and safety throughout this difficult time. Chowan alumni are literally located all over the world with many in so-called “hot spots.” We pray for your well-being and that of your family and friends.
Like many of you, we can’t imagine a spring without our alumni and families here on campus. Your energy, dedication, and perspective add so much to this community. We were so disappointed that the Coach Jim Garrison Memorial Roast, which was scheduled for April 17th, had to be postponed. Many alumni had already made plans to attend this fun-filled event. I will let you know the new date when it is selected. A special thanks to those who are working to make this event memorable.
2020 Homecoming is scheduled for Saturday, October 17th. I look forward to your returning to campus for what is always a wonderful time to recognize our Chowan heritage. You will be receiving details about the Blue and White Celebration, the Distinguished Alumni Dinner, the game, and other activities later this summer.
You have probably already heard that graduation will take place on December 19, 2020. This will be a special time to honor all 2020 graduates. Details will be announced in early fall.
We miss seeing you in person. You make Chowan extraordinary, and we look forward to reconnecting with you in celebration as soon as we are able. Remember to stay CHOWAN STRONG!
Best regards,
Kay Thomas
Director of Alumni Relations
