On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, Chowan University’s Psychology Department continued its alumni lecture series with graduate, Charles Wright Jr., who obtained his B.S. in Psychology in 2014. Charles, better known as CJ, now works as an addiction counselor and is currently pursuing an M.S.
Chowan University students have again been recognized as winners of the prestigious PICA Awards, presented by the Printing Industry of the Carolinas, Inc. (PICA). Each year PICA hosts a competition among members of the print industry to recognize excellence within the industry.
The opportunity comes as a part of the College Foundation of North Carolina’s (CFNC) annual campaign to support college access called NC Countdown to College (formerly known as CFNC College Application Week).
Chowan University continues to take steps to support its students during the coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday, October 8, 2020, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved a tuition and fee proposal that does not increase undergraduate tuition for the 2021-2022 school year.
The Chowan University Board of Trustees authorized emeritus status for three retired faculty members who retired from their teaching positions on May 31, 2020. This honor is bestowed by the University to recognize a recently retired professor’s dedication and distinguished career at Chowan.
Chowan welcomes Anna Eure, class of 2009, as the University’s Admissions Counselor & Campus Visit Coordinator. Anna resides with her husband, Clay Eure, and one-year-old daughter Kennedi, thirty minutes south of Murfreesboro in Roxobel, NC.
