All new full-time freshman and transfer applicants who plan to attend Chowan University are required to attend Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR).
SOAR is a one-day event that gives new students an opportunity to:
- Meet their academic advisor
- Register for fall classes
- Get their student ID
- Socialize with other new students and active members of the Chowan University community
- Attend important information sessions about life in college
Students who have paid the $100 Advanced Tuition Deposit are eligible to attend. You may pay your deposit online.
SOAR is FREE for incoming students (including lunch).
Please choose only one SOAR date from the list. SOAR is an all-day event so we ask that you plan accordingly and prepare to remain on campus for the duration of the event.
We ask that you limit your additional guests to immediate family.
Please note that SOAR is an all-day event. Please plan to stay until at least 4 PM. We also encourage wearing comfortable shoes and clothes.
