As Dean of the new School of Fine and Applied Arts at Chowan University, it is my privilege to lead top-notch, dedicated faculty as well as excellent, robust programs in Communication Arts, Music, Theater and the Interdisciplinary Studies program to move forward towards a rich and expanded future. Supporting student success through internships and career fairs leading to professional work or graduate studies in communication arts, music and theater will also benefit the college across disciplines and the greater community at large. Serving the college, The School of Fine and Applied Arts offers a wide array of concerts, lectures, performances, visiting lecturers and various conferences.We will continue along the path of excellence in the arts while expanding the learning opportunities, environments and participatory cross-discipline events and activities for all. Stay tuned to our CU website as we announce the events for this upcoming academic year. It is a great time to live in this geographic area and to attend Chowan University, a town and country experience, close to the ocean and mountains, cities and country life!
