A native of Virginia Beach, VA and a graduate of Green Run High School, Leah began her studies at Chowan University in 2005. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Humanities Studies and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Administration and Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. While at Chowan, Leah traveled the country and world with Campus Ministry, played an integral part in Greek Life, and served in various clubs and organizations. As a member of the staff, Leah has continued to be an active member of Campus Ministry and strives to enhance the student experience on campus.
When we asked Leah why she chose Chowan, she said...
I was not a fan of Chowan my first semester here as a freshmen, but that all changed when I got involved on campus and got to know the value of Chowan! My first semester I stayed in my room and went to class. Second semester, I decided I need to experience college as a whole and experience what Chowan has to offer. After getting involved in Chowan Singers, SGA, Campus Program Board, Admission Tour Guide, Resident Assistant etc. I began to see Chowan as an AMAZING place! Ever since my freshmen year second semester I have loved Chowan and now I am a huge fan! Chowan University is what you make it to be. I am the person I am today because of Chowan! Get involved, meet new friends, faculty, and staff! #HawkPride
