"I came to Chowan because I love working with students and getting to know them personally. You'll find that Chowan University is a family that really cares about you and truly has faith in your future!"
Advice from Scott: Whether you are applying as a first-time freshman or a transfer student, you need to take your classes seriously. If you can develop good study skills and work ethic now, it will greatly benefit you in college. If you can do that not only will you make better grades but who knows, you might even be able to get a job as a tutor.
Favorite spot on campus: My favorite spot on campus is the Appenzeller fountain in Lake Vann. When the trees are green, the flowers are blooming, and the geese are swimming there is no prettier spot on campus.
Favorite college memory: My favorite college memory was getting together with my friends for concerts in the area. The first night I was in college I actually went to an outdoor concert with friends and it was pouring down rain. Even though it poured through the entire show I still remember the great time that we had that night.
Favorite Chowan memory: My favorite Chowan memory actually happens each year and that is graduation. Since I have been here for many years, I have had the chance to work with students in the enrollment process and then see them graduate four years later. I have had the chance to meet their families and celebrate with them on this special occasion.
