Tajah Paige

I love Chowan because of the friendly people and Christian environment. This school has allowed me great opportunities to grow in my faith and in myself. Cheering on the Chowan Sapphire Cheerleading Squad has given me the privilege of becoming a 2016-2017 All CIAA Cheerleader. I don’t take my education for granted, because of the hard work the staff and faculty put into helping me discover my full potential.

Tajah is from Hampton, Virginia. She is a Senior, Interdisciplinary Studies major, with a concentration in Education.

Elliot Chadderton

I love Chowan’s individualized academic environment...Small classes = close relationships with professors who challenge you and care about your success. I also love the family-based atmosphere across campus. Being far away from home, Chowan has become a second home. Because of the campus size, it doesn’t take long to recognize people and develop friendships.

Elliot is from Oldham, England. He is a Senior, Psychology major.

Katherine Hosking

One of the many reasons I love Chowan, is the gorgeous campus. I am a huge nature person and Chowan is filled with green scenery everywhere you look. Whether it’s sitting with my friends in Squirrel Park, relaxing on a swing under one of the huge oak trees, or taking a walk by Lake Vann, I enjoy admiring each "earthy green" detail this beautiful campus has to offer.

Katherine is from Gastonia, North Carolina. She is a Junior, Psychology major.

Danielle Evans

The reasons that I love Chowan are endless, however, the main reason would have to be the connections I’ve made since beginning my academic journey. When I applied to Chowan, my  Admissions counselor patiently walked me through every step of the process and has continued to support me as a CU student. I’ve had professors go the extra mile to insure my success. Receiving endless opportunities, and knowing I have reliable people to count on, will forever make Chowan home.

Danielle is from Roseboro, North Carolina. She is a Senior, Criminal Justice major.

Torry Baker

I love Chowan because of the family bonds I’ve created since I’ve been a student. As a wide receiver on the Chowan Hawks Football Team, I’ve developed close friendships with my teammates, as well as with other students across campus. The personal growth I’ve experienced and the memories I’ve made with friends, truly make the Chowan community a second family to me.

Torry is from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a Junior, Exercise Science major.
